SEIU Members Ratify Janitorial Contract for 10,200

Members of Service Employees International Union Local 32BJ voted unanimously over several days in late July to ratify a four-year contract with the Washington Service Contractors Association that covers 10,200 commercial office cleaners in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, the union announced July 27.

The agreement with the WSCA, which represents the mid-Atlantic region’s major commercial cleaning companies, includes wage increases for all full- and part-time janitors and day porters that amount to more than $68 million over four years, the SEIU said.
