Securitas Gets Sex Discrimination Lawsuit Sent to Arbitration

Securitas Security Services Inc. successfully compelled arbitration of a former employee’s sex discrimination claims, a New Jersey appeals court affirmed.

Crystal Settle alleged that her supervisor sexually assaulted her and created a hostile work environment. The company motioned to compel arbitration, citing an arbitration agreement she signed before starting work.

Settle argued that her agreement was invalid because her dispute with the company involves sexual harassment and assault.
