Second Group of Activision Blizzard Workers to Vote on Union

A federal labor board judge has approved a second union election for Activision Blizzard Inc. workers, this time in New York state.

In a decision Tuesday, National Labor Relations Board Regional Director Linda Leslie granted a petition from the Communication Workers of America to represent 21 test analysts in Albany, NY. Nineteen quality assurance testers at Raven Software, a subsidiary of Activision Blizzard, voted to unionize earlier this year—a first for a US video game company.

The Albany election is scheduled for Oct. 27.
