Retail employees for the Seattle Mariners will vote later this month on whether to oust the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union after a federal labor board official said the election can go forward.
A National Labor Relations Board regional director in Seattle approved the decertification election in a decision Monday, finding that UFCW and the company that operates the Mariners failed to properly notify the agency and the workers of the union’s recognition as their bargaining representative.
