A Florida seafood restaurant will pay $30,000 to settle claims it fired an employee because of her age, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission announced Monday.
According to the EEOC, a kitchen manager for Divine Boiling Group, doing business as Crab Knight, made repeated discriminatory comments about an employee’s age and finding someone younger to replace her, before firing her.
The case is EEOC v. Divine Boiling Group, M.D. Fla., No. 6:24-cv-01711, consent decree 9/30/24.
