Santa Clara County Workers Lose Class Status Over Covid Mandate

Santa Clara County convinced a California federal judge to decertify a class of religious workers who opposed the county’s Covid-19 vaccine requirement in light of new information showing a lack of common issues among them.

The briefings on cross-motions for summary judgment have introduced “serious questions” as to whether resolution can be reached on a class-wide basis given new evidence, Judge Beth Labson Freeman of the US District Court for the Northern District of California said.
