Sage Steele’s Claims Against Walt Disney Revived by Trial Court

Walt Disney Co. is again facing claims by ESPN sportscaster Sage Steele over discipline she received for remarks made on a podcast.

A Connecticut trial court vacated its ruling that she hasn’t established a cause of action against ESPN’s parent company.

Connecticut Superior Court Judge James Sicilian on Tuesday granted Steele’s motion for reconsideration of his Oct. 12 order dismissing the claims against Disney. Sicilian gave the parties 30 days to submit a joint plan for discovery limited to the court’s jurisdiction over the company.
