The US Occupational Safety and Health Administration revoked a standard protecting employees working in marine terminals, part of the Trump administration’s deregulatory push.
OSHA determined the standard was no longer necessary to protect employees working in marine terminals from workplace hazards. The standard focused on cargo lifting gear, such as spans, attached to a terminal which is used for loading and discharging cargo.
