Sabre Ex-Employee Must Pay $1.2M in Confidentiality Breach

A former Sabre GLBL Inc. employee must pay an arbitration award of nearly $1.2 million in “head start” damages for breaching a confidentiality agreement, a federal appeals court said.

There is no basis to disturb the award to Sabre, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit said July 3 in a non-precedential opinion.

Sabre is entitled to $450,000 in attorneys’ fees, based on the arbitrator’s ruling that the former employee violated a state trade secrecy law, the court said.
