Riot Games Inc. settled a class action over allegations of sexual harassment, unequal pay and promotions, and retaliation, fostered by a pervasive “bro culture.” The company is responsible for creating the popular video game League of Legends.
The lawsuit, which plaintiffs’ attorneys previously told Bloomberg Law could include a class “in the hundreds,” was settled Aug. 22, according to a joint official statement. Details of the settlement weren’t immediately available, but someone familiar with the settlement told Bloomberg Law that all female employees at Riot will be covered by the settlement, including employees who identify as female.
