BOSTON—The New Hampshire House March 14 voted 198-139 to approve a right-to-work bill (H.B. 1577), the second consecutive year it passed such legislation by a margin insufficient to override a threatened gubernatorial veto.
Last November, the House voted by less than the required two-thirds, 240-139, to override a veto by Gov. John Lynch (D) of a right-to-work bill the legislature had passed seven months earlier (230 DLR A-14, 11/30/11).
The Senate had approved the measure by a vote of 16-8.
