School bus drivers return to the roads in Providence, R.I., after ratifying a four-year contract with employer First Student Transportation, a union spokesman told Bloomberg Law.
The drivers originally requested a pension plan but settled for a modified Teamsters 401(k) plan on Oct. 13, International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 251 spokesman Nick Williams said. For every hour a driver works, the employer will allocate 50 cents to a Teamsters defined contribution plan, according to the new contract.
