The cities of Columbus, Chicago, and Baltimore led a coalition of physicians and business organizations in a lawsuit to block a Trump administration regulation they alleged increases administrative roadblocks for individuals enrolled in health coverage through the Affordable Care Act marketplace.
The lawsuit filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the District of Maryland argues the Department of Health and Human Services’ 2025 Marketplace Integrity and Affordability Rule (RIN 0938-AV61), released June 20, violates the Affordable Care Act by imposing new barriers to insurance coverage.
