The US Department of Labor should double the time the public has to weigh in on the agency’s new worker classification proposal, according to the National Retail Federation.
In a Thursday letter sent to the DOL Wage and Hour Division’s regulatory office, the business group said the “significant impact” and complexity of the proposed regulation justifies extending the time to submit feedback from 45 days to 90 days.
