Resco Products Faces NLRB Complaint Over Bargaining

Resco Products Inc. bargained in bad faith with the United Steelworkers and illegally implemented changes in workers’ terms and conditions of employment though an impasse hadn’t been reached, the National Labor Relations Board alleged (Resco Products, Inc., N.L.R.B., 06-CA-176112, complaint filed 11/30/16).

Nancy Wilson, NLRB regional director of Region 6 in Pittsburgh, alleged in the complaint that the company bargained with the union at its plant in Tarentum, Pa., with “no intention” of reaching an agreement, reneged on tentative agreements and “failed to cloak its representatives with the authority to enter into binding agreements.” Resco ...
