Republicans Request Investigation of Walsh’s Labor Negotiations

The U.S. Department of Labor’s independent watchdog should review Labor Secretary Marty Walsh’s involvement in labor disputes, to ensure he “adheres to his obligations under federal ethics laws,” Republican House members requested in a letter sent Monday.

Reps. Virginia Foxx (R-N.C.) and Rick Allen (R-Ga.) asked the DOL’s inspector general Larry Turner to investigate Walsh’s recent involvement in disputes between unionized workers and management, including his appearance on a Kellogg’s worker picket line in October.
