Republicans succeeded anew in voting to block a federal coronavirus vaccine requirement, but found there were limits to their pressure campaign against the mandates.
No Democrats joined Republicans to oppose the vaccine mandate for health care workers, unlike a similar resolution in December. The measure to disapprove of the mandate under the Congressional Review Act passed 49-44 Wednesday, with six Democrats missing the vote.
One conservative who supported the repeal said health workers should face a vaccine or other requirement, but the federal rules were just too inflexible.
