GOP Senators Denounce White House’s Labor Executive Order (1)

Forty-three Republican senators are condemning President Joe Biden’s recent order guaranteeing collective bargaining agreements for individual public infrastructure projects, saying it hinders competitive bidding and wastes taxpayer dollars.

“Mandating PLAs will prevent qualified contractors from fairly competing for contracts,” the senators wrote in the letter to the White House on Monday. “These mandates will also deny critical construction jobs to local workers and small businesses and increase construction costs.”
