Religious Discrimination Is Focus of EEOC’s Next Public Meeting

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission will consider updating its approach to religious discrimination in the workplace, the agency said Monday.

The agency will hold a meeting on Nov. 9 to discuss how to revise a section of the agency’s compliance manual that provides guidance on how it investigates and analyzes bias charges based on religion, according to the announcement. The EEOC’s press office didn’t immediately respond to a request for additional details on the meeting’s agenda.
