The U.S. Supreme Court has expanded the scope of an exemption from discrimination lawsuits that religious organizations can claim. The majority yesterday found that two Roman Catholic teachers couldn’t sue for bias because their role is crucial to the school’s mission and would fall under the “ministerial exception.”
