Recording Academy EEOC Charge Involves Big Law Attorney (1)

The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, which presents the Grammy Awards, was hit with an EEOC discrimination charge by Deborah Dugan, the former CEO and president of the academy who says she was retaliated against for raising concerns about diversity and other issues.

Deborah Dugan paints a picture of a “boys’ club” mentality at the academy, where she says she was subjected to sexual harassment by the organization’s general counsel, Joel Katz.
