Record Executive L.A. Reid Settles Producer’s Sex Assault Case

Former Arista Records CEO Antonio Marquis “L.A.” Reid settled music producer Drew Dixon’s allegations of sexual assault and false imprisonment as a jury trial was set to begin Monday.

Dixon alleged Reid sexually harassed and assaulted her when they both worked at Arista more than two decades ago. She sued in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York in 2023 thanks to the state’s Adult Survivors Act, which became law in 2022 and gave plaintiffs a one-year window in which to bring otherwise time-barred assault claims.
