R3 Government Solutions LLC, will pay $82,500 to settle a race discrimination and retaliation lawsuit, the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission said Friday.
The EEOC allegedly R3 fired a Black woman who worked for the company as a recruiter after she opposed the company’s discriminatory hiring practices, which included rejecting candidates because of their age and disadvantaging candidates based on race or national origin.
The federal contractor also will provide other relief for allegedly violating Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967.
