QVC Shortchanged Customer Service Employees, New Suit Alleges

QVC Inc. is facing accusations that it cheated more than 100 customer service representatives out of overtime pay, according to a new lawsuit filed in a Philadelphia federal court.

The proposed class and collective action was filed by Lanitra Adams, who worked at a QVC call center in Virginia, under the Fair Labor Standards Act and Pennsylvania law.

QVC maintained policies and practices that forced these employees to work unpaid, off-the-clock hours every week, according to the complaint. Since these employees already worked 40 hours per week, QVC thus failed to pay them overtime wages for this time.
