Quest Diagnostics Workers Seek Nod for $1.1 Million Wage Deal

Quest Diagnostics Inc. mobile medical examiners who say the company stiffed them on pay asked a federal judge to put a final stamp of approval on their $1.1 million settlement after nearly a decade of litigation.

The deal covers more than 15,000 potential class members, who will get approximately $5 apiece, according to settlement documents filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. More than 2,700 class members who also opted to join the Fair Labor Standards Act collective will recover around $34 each, the workers said.
