Three Pennsylvania state government workers who want to resign from their union outside a fixed 15-day window have sued for the right to exit.

Megan James, William Lester, and Angela Pease want to be able to leave the Service Employees International Union Local 668 before their contract ends on June 30, 2019, they said in a complaint filed Jan. 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

The union was served with the lawsuit Jan. 22, local President Steve Catanese told Bloomberg Law.
