Public Support for Organized Labor Rises in Wake of Union Wins

Public support for unions has ticked up to 70%, according to a Gallup poll released Wednesday.

Approval for organized labor rose three percentage points from the last survey in 2023, nearing 2022’s 71%, the highest since 1965. Disapproval dipped to 23%, a 57-year low. The latest numbers reflect a favorability shift toward unions over the past few years after the Covid-19 pandemic destabilized the workforce and corporate profits surged.
