Proposed ‘Dreamer’ Protections at White House for Review

White House officials are reviewing a proposed rule to preserve and fortify a program that protects “dreamers” from deportation, meaning it could soon be publicly released.

The proposal appeared on the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs website late Tuesday. A federal judge in July blocked new applicants from getting the protection and work authorization, known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA.
