Progress to a $15 Minimum Wage Likely to Stall After House Vote

House Democrats have pushed through some members’ uncertainty and business community pressure and are set to vote, and likely pass, on Thursday a proposal to boost the federal minimum wage to $15 in phases across six years.

If passed, the the Raise the Wage Act (H.R. 582) a policy priority for Democrats, would be viewed as a major success for the party as it tries to project a pro-worker image.
