A male former Navarro College art professor whose contract wasn’t renewed after a female professor falsely reported he was inappropriate with female students will have his gender discrimination and hostile work environment claims heard by a jury.
There is a genuine dispute of fact whether Jon Boles received a nonrenewal due to a “racially-tinged statement,” was treated less favorably than other non-male employees, and suffered an adverse employment action, the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas ruled Dec. 9.
