P&G Faces Trial in Case Over Hiring Policy for Non-Citizens (2)

A lawsuit over The Procter & Gamble Co.‘s policy to reject applications from non-U.S. citizens is headed to trial after the company failed to convince a federal court to dismiss the case.

A jury will have to determine whether the company’s hiring policy in 2013 qualifies as alienage-based discrimination against applicants who had work authorization but were not U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents, Judge Kathleen M. Williams of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida ruled Wednesday.
