Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. and subsidiary Ring of Honor Wrestling Entertainment LLC were hit with a federal suit in Maryland by a top female professional wrestler who alleges she was fired for speaking out about the lack of safety protocols at Sinclair and ROH wrestling events, the disparity in pay between male and female wrestlers, and sexual harassment.
Kelly Klein, who wrestled as “The Gatekeeper” and “Pretty Badass,” alleges the companies failed to provide adequate medical supervision, evaluation and care at wrestling matches.
