President Trump Nominates New Disability Employment Policy Head

President Donald Trump has named Julie Hocker to lead the US Department of Labor subagency aimed at expanding employment opportunities for workers with disabilities.

Hocker’s nomination to serve as assistant secretary for disability employment policy was submitted to the Senate on Monday, according to the congressional record released Tuesday.

As head of ODEP, she will be tasked with doling out grant funding and policy guidance to increase the quality and number of work opportunities for people with disabilities.
