President Barack Obama has named Jenny R. Yang (D) as the chair of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, about four months after she was named the agency’s vice chair, the EEOC announced Sept. 2.
Yang succeeds Jacqueline A. Berrien (D), who departed the agency last week after serving more than four years as the EEOC chair (167 DLR C-1, 8/28/14; 162 DLR A-1, 8/21/14).
Yang has served as an EEOC commissioner since May 2013 (92 DLR A-12, 5/13/13) and was a partner at Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll in Washington prior to joining the agency. ...
