Practitioners Welcome Excise Tax,
Controlled-Group Rules in IRS Proposal

The IRS will assess excise tax penalties on employers that fail to comply with health coverage rules under the Affordable Care Act, relieving employers of what some had feared would be a process based on self-assessment, a Groom Law Group attorney told BNA Jan. 3.
