Postal Service Gets Ex-Mail Carrier’s Bias Lawsuit Pared Back

A recent US Supreme Court ruling salvaged some disability-related portions of an employment discrimination suit against the US Postal Service, but the worker failed to link the agency’s actions to her age, a federal judge said.

The high court’s 2024 holding in Muldrow v. City of St. Louis clarified that workers need only show “some harm” for certain bias claims. Several of the adverse employment actions the former carrier alleged in support of her disability-based disparate treatment and retaliation claims clear that bar at the pleading stage, the US District Court for the District of Colorado said.
