A group of dancers at a strip club in Oregon have petitioned to hold a union representation election, in a bid to become the second organized club in the US.
The 29 strippers at Magic Tavern in Portland filed their petition with the National Labor Relations Board June 6, seeking to join the Actors’ Equity Association. According to the union’s website, the dancers have been on strike since April 4 due to what they say are unsafe working conditions at the club.
