PNC to Get Quick Appeal of Mortgage Loan Officers Break Pay Win

PNC Bank NA convinced the Ninth Circuit to immediately review a ruling that the bank cheated mortgage loan officers out of pay for required rest breaks, a violation of California law that PNC says the lower court further mistakenly found also subjects the bank to waiting-time penalties.

The appeals court will review a March 15 ruling by Magistrate Judge Joseph C. Spero of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California that granted partial summary judgment to Linda Scheid and a class of other loan officers.
