Players’ Union Can Seek to Avoid Settlement NFL Allegedly Lied to Obtain, 8th Circuit Says

The NFL Players Association can seek to set aside a dismissal based on a settlement and waiver in the late player Reggie White’s lawsuit alleging that the National Football League teams colluded to enforce a secret player salary cap, reopening claims under the Sherman Act against the NFL and every team in the league, the Eighth Circuit decided June 20 (White v. Nat’l Football League, 8th Cir., 13-1251, 6/20/14).
