A group of Best Buy Co. employees and the electronics retailer June 17 submitted to a federal district court in California a proposed settlement of a nationwide class action alleging discrimination against black, Hispanic, and female employees that would pay $200,000 to nine named plaintiffs and require widespread changes to the company’s employment policies (Holloway v. Best Buy Co.).
