Pizzella’s Labor Department to Quicken Pace

Patrick Pizzella will take over at the Labor Department after Secretary Alexander Acosta officially steps down later this week. The new acting chief is expected to move ahead more quickly to finalize rules on who is eligible for overtime pay, what compensation structures qualify for overtime wages, and joint liability for wage violations for franchisors and other affiliated businesses.
