Pizza Hut Driver Must Arbitrate Wage Suit Over Delivery Expenses

A Pizza Hut delivery driver in Ohio must individually arbitrate claims that he and others were shorted on wages because they weren’t fully reimbursed for necessary business expenses incurred during their deliveries, a federal judge in Cincinnati ruled.

Plaintiff Robert Mullen entered into a valid arbitration pact during the electronic employee “onboarding” process, and the agreement explicitly covers his wage claims, Judge Matthew W. McFarland of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio said Monday.
