Pittsburgh Security Guards Ratify First Contract

Security guards at Pittsburgh office buildings who are members of Service Employees International Union Local 32BJ have ratified a first contract with seven security contractors covering about 1,000 workers, the union announced Oct. 8.

The three-year agreement covers security guards who work for Allied Barton Security Services, G4S, Securitas, St. Moritz Security Services, ISS, SOS and Chesley Brown, the union said in its announcement.

The contract caps off an organizing drive that began earlier this year 39 DLR A-4, 2/27/15, 29 LRW 427, 3/4/15. Bargaining with the security firms began in April, the union said.
