Performance Food Group Settles Hiring Discrimination Claims (1)

Performance Food Group Inc. will pay nearly $600,000 to settle allegations of hiring discrimination against female and black applicants at several locations across the southeastern U.S., the Labor Department said.

The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs alleged that PFG disproportionately hired male applicants over female applicants and white candidates over black candidates, a settlement released Oct. 2 indicates.

“PFG fully cooperated with the investigation. We remain committed to attracting and engaging a diverse workforce,” PFG spokeswoman Trisha Meade told Bloomberg Law in an email.
