Penske Truck Leasing Co. convinced a California federal court to retain jurisdiction over a proposed class action of nearly 2,900 employees alleging unpaid overtime, missed breaks, and other state labor violations.
Using reasonable and conservative calculations, Penske established that the wage, meal period, and rest break claims alone are worth roughly $7.5 million total, Judge Otis D. Wright II of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California said Monday.
