Pennsylvania Manufacturer Hit With EEOC Sexual Harassment Suit

The EEOC has filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against AMZ Manufacturing Co. in Pennsylvania, the agency said Monday.

The company, which does electroplating, painting, and assembly, allegedly violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act by subjecting female employees to a hostile work environment because of their sex, according to the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Two female employees at a York facility allegedly experienced such inappropriate behavior as verbal sexual harassment and demeaning sex-based comments from male co-workers and supervisors, which the company didn’t take effective action to stop after receiving complaints from the affected women, the EEOC ...
