Pennsylvania Framing Contractor Fined $247,269 for Fall Hazards

OSHA cited Level Edge Construction LLC for two willful and five serious violations and proposed penalties of $247,269 for alleged fall hazards at a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation facility, according to the Department of Labor Tuesday.

An Occupational Safety and Health Administration inspection found the company failed to protect workers from falls as they performed carpentry work from surfaces as high as 14 feet at the PennDOT salt storage stockpile, according to the Labor Department.
