Anne Henderson was selected as the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation’s participant and plan sponsor advocate by its board of directors, the agency announced Tuesday.
The Office of the Advocate works directly with participants in private sector defined benefit pension plans to ensure they receive the benefits to which they are entitled from the PBGC, the agency said. The office also assists plan sponsors in resolving disputes and other issues with the PBGC and provides input and recommendations to the PBGC board of directors.
Henderson replaces Constance Donovan, who retired in August, as the PBGC’s first advocate, the agency said. ...
