PBGC Accused of Race Discrimination by Agency Division Leader

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation unlawfully failed to consider a Black employee for a promotion and retaliated against him for a previous discrimination complaint, a new federal lawsuit alleges.

Officials at the agency discriminated against Olumide Adefemi by discouraging him from applying for an open department director position and declining to interview him, according to a complaint filed Monday in US District Court for the District of Columbia.
