Paul Taylor Dance Worker Beats Arbitration Bid in Sex Bias Suit

A former costumer with the Paul Taylor Dance Company can pursue her sex discrimination and familial status bias claims in court, because they fit a new federal exception to arbitration for sexual harassment cases.

The ruling Tuesday by the US District Court for the Southern District of New York is the latest to define the reach of the Ending Forced Arbitration of Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment Act, which was signed into law in March 2022.
